Pricing
40.- euros per person per day (at least two people, two nights minimal stay, breakfast is not available).
Weekly (7 nights) rental fee for the entire house:
- from 01-01-2010 to 30-04-2010: 700 euro (2-3 people), 800 euro (4-5 people)
- from 01-05-2010 to 30-06-2010: 950 euro (2-3 people), 1050 euro (4-5 people)
- from 01-07-2010 to 31-08-2010: 1150 euro (2-3 people), 1250 euro (4-5 people)
- from 01-09-2010 to 30-09-2010: 950 euro (2-3 people), 1050 euro (4-5 people)
- from 01-10-2010 to 31-12-2010: 700 euro (2-3 people), 800 euro (4-5 people)
At the Il Pratone Agritourism it is possible to rent mountain bikes and receive informative brochures on mountain bikes and trekking itineraries published by the Comunità Montana Amiata - Val d'Orcia.
- Daily fee for Mountain Bike rental: 5 euro
It is also possible to buy home grown produce from Certified Organic Agricolture:
- 5 liters of extra-virgin olive oil: 45 euro
- 55 liters (1 demijohn) of red wine: 80 euro
How to Reach Castiglione d'Orcia
The agritourism Il Pratone is located near Siena, in the heart of Tuscany, at the Castiglione d'Orcia. Guests meet the Vagaggini family at Castiglione d'Orcia, Via della Rocca 10. Afterwards, guests are taken to the farmhouse on Via Fontevecchia.
From the North:
From Autostrada (Highway) A1, take the exit "Firenze Certosa" to "Superstrada Firenze Siena." Take the exit "Siena Sud" and follow "la Strada Statale Cassia" in the direction of "Buonconvento - Roma." Fewer than 50 kilometers from Siena signs are visible for "Castiglione d'Orcia." Turn off "La Strada Statale Cassia" by taking a right and follow "La Strada Provinciale 323" until arriving at the Castiglione property.
From Autostrada (Highway) A1, follow the indications for "Chiusi-Chianciano" and follow the signs for "Chianciano-Terme." On this road, follow the signs for "Pienza" and "San Quirico d'Orcia." You will arrive at the "Strada Regionale 2 Cassia". Continue on this in the direction of South (Sud) towards "Roma" and follow signs for "Castiglione d'Orcia." Merge onto "Strada Provinciale 323" until arriving at the Castiglione property.
